Renewal Process

If you have a driver’s license from Prince Edward Island, you must renew it five years before it expires. But you have up to five months to renew your card before it expires. You have the option of renewing your license in person or online.

• You have attained the age of seventeen.
• Possess a valid license from a class other than class 7 or 9.
• own a valid driver’s license
• Have a driver whose name and address have stayed the same.
• possess a driver’s license without any limitations
• when submitting a medical or visual report is not necessary at the time of renewal.
