The last step in obtaining an entirely unrestricted Nunavut driver’s license is to upgrade your class 7 license to a class 5. With only two easy actions, you may convert your class 7 driver’s license to a category 5 one:
- Pass your class 7 road exam by practising driving with a supervisor for at least one month.

To book your road test, contact the Nunavut Driver Licensing Office.
- Apply at any Nunavut Motor Vehicles Division issuing office if you reside in Iqaluit, Rankin Inlet, Cambridge Bay, or Gjoa Haven.
- Apply at any nearby Municipal Liaison Officer (MLO) or Government Liaison Officer if you reside in any other Nunavut community (GLO)
