Getting Your driving license in British Columbia

For the first 90 days after moving to British Columbia, if you hold a valid driver’s license from another province or country, you are permitted to use it. You then have 90 days to apply for a BC license. You may drive for up to a year on a valid license from your home province or nation. If your temporary foreign worker stay exceeds 12 months, you must apply for a BC driver’s license.
